The Twenty-sixth Amendment of the Constitution of India, officially known as The Constitution (Twenty-sixth Amendment) Act, 1971, ceased to recognise any person, who prior to the Amendment, was recognised by the President as the Ruler of an Indian State or the successor of such Ruler. It also abolished the privy purse paid to such persons, and extinguished the rights, liabilities and obligations in respect of privy purses. ==Text==
